One Community Now Seeking Technology Specialists

One Community is now seeking additional Technology Specialists to join either our Core Team or our Volunteers and Consultants team.

The people who join our team as either volunteers/consultants or members typically fit one or more of the following descriptions:

• A person wanting to live sustainably and change the world (Pioneers!)
• A person looking to gain experience and share new skills (students, recent graduates, etc.)
• A person seeking to share experience and build their business (entrepreneurs and business owners)
• A person seeking humanitarian and/or philanthropic contributions (world-change professionals)

TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST TEAM MEMBER SKILLS DESIRED

The following are the skills of an ideal candidate for each position if we would have one person dedicated full time to a leadership role. We would like to have multiple people and are open to exploring win-win relationships with people of varying skill levels.

Computer Specialist

• Minimum 3 years working experience for any of these jobs:
  • Proficiency in HTML code and web design – WordPress Experience preferred
  • Programming experience creating web-based collaborative and data-sorting programs with the flexibility and desire to expand your knowledge into new programming language and areas
  • Computer repair and network implementation experience covering both Apple and PC platforms – Custom computer design experience preferred
• We are also seeking people with specific graphic arts experience in video and/or image editing and design

WordPress Developer

• Strong knowledge and experience with WordPress sites, including custom themes, plugins, and widgets
• Knowledge and experience with PHP and mySQL, specifically as applicable to WordPress customization and development
• Knowledge and experience with HTML, CSS, and Javascript
• Experience with popular libraries such as jQuery

WordPress User

• Strong knowledge and experience working with WordPress sites, including administration (add/update/remove content)
• General knowledge/experience with computers and internet
• Strong English content writing/editing skills
