One Community is now building a team of Lawyers and Paralegals to join either our Core Team or our Volunteers and Consultants team. We are building this team to include specialists in Environmental Law, Business Law, Family Law, Patent Law, and Copyright Law. We see this team as essential in helping to preserve, protect, and help spread the One Community open source model for creating self-replicating teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities.
We are seeking legal assistance with a variety of different projects. The primary areas we seek help are listed below. If you’d like to help with one of these, click here and complete the application: Application
The focus of this task is creating open source tutorials for educating people about their legal rights in relation to sustainable building within the diverse landscape of differing county codes in the US. We’re seeking help to research and structure the legal framework for perpetual property preservation. We want to legally protect it and all residents as much as possible against frivolous lawsuits. We also want to preserve the teacher/demonstration community intent of the property/project against any changes any future Board of Directors, investors, or any other interested parties may intend. The structure we create will serve as a template for others to create teacher/demonstration communities and villages too.
We’re seeking help to research and establish a framework and specific legal plan for locals and/or foreigners interested in establishing teacher/demonstration hubs. This template will focus on 1 country and then serve as the template for legal professionals to help us create similar tutorials for all other countries in the world.
This plan should include:
