One Community is now building a team of lawyers and paralegals to join either our Core Team or our Volunteers and Consultants team. We are building this team to include specialists in Environmental Law, Business Law, Family Law, Patent Law, and Copyright Law. We see this team as essential in helping to preserve, protect, and help spread the One Community open source model for creating self-replicating teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities.

The focus of this task is creating open source tutorials for educating people about their legal rights in relation to sustainable building within the diverse landscape of differing county codes in the US. The goal of these tutorials is to forward widespread adoption of sustainable building methods leading to the natural expansion of existing building codes to recognize and accept these methods alongside already accepted/traditional building methods.

We’ll be operating this school on the property for residents and also as a private schooling option for a limited number of non-residents. The structure we create will serve as a template for others to create teacher/demonstration communities and villages too.
