One Community is developing an open source and free-shared all-ages Highest Good education® program we call The Education for Life Program. This page is the overview of this program and includes links to all the major open source components. This page is organized like all our other open source portals and includes the following sections:
We define Highest Good education as:
Through global collaboration, open source sharing, and implementation of this program as part of the One Community self-replicating teacher/demonstration hub, Highest Good society, and for The Highest Good of All approach to global transformation, we are building this program to be the most comprehensive and effective home schooling and/or community-duplicable education program in the world. CLICK HERE to read how each component can be used individually, and how they all work together.
The lesson plans components of this program have been designed with the goal of expanding creativity and critical thinking while also teaching all subjects. With this in mind, on everything other than the facts of each subject, the emphasis is meant to be placed on enhancing imagination and expanding an individual’s capability to formulate an argument or rationale, rather than on the degree to which the instructor feels the answer/presentation/project is specifically correct or incorrect. What is more important is the reasoning, ability to defend that reasoning, and process used to create it.
Here are the educational systems we studied to create this program:
Montessori  |  Waldorf  |  Orff  |  Reggio  |  Multi-Intelligence | Bloom’s Taxonomy  | Study Tech | I-WE

Education quality and costs are arguably two of the most pressing problems of our day. Free-sharing a new-paradigm holistic education model, applicable to both children and adults, is therefore a foundation of our approach to positive and permanent global transformation. We also feel parents, students, and teachers deserve an education program that is usable in any environment, more fun, individualizes the learning experience through collaborative tools to assess and evolve all components, and allows students to advance according to their ability. Providing this globally through the One Community self-replicating teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities will maximize real-world options for all participants and prepare people of all ages, through both the education and application process, to be leaders and influential contributors to what we believe is the beginning of a new Golden Age of innovation, collaboration, creativity, and people living and working together for The Highest Good of All.

One Community is developing the Education for Life Program as part of our approach to positive and permanent global transformation. It’s purpose is to provide open source and free-shared education resources that can be used in homeschooling, traditional schooling, private schooling environments, or included as part of self-replicating teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities to be built around the world. The program has been developed to provide a more individualized, fun, and effective education model for all ages. All its components can be used individually or as a complete and integrated education system applicable for any age.
Q: Is this an on-line school?
No, our goal is to create the largest free on-line archive of usable teaching ideas, examples, resources, and tools and to demonstrate a community based school. The on-line archive, like all of our open source materials, is being built as part of our open source project-launch blueprinting that provides provides free resources so people can implement the program in part or as a complete home or community-based schooling system. As part of what we are creating we’d like to teach people how to get licensed, apply for scholarships, receive college credit, ace the ACT/SATs, etc. but we will not be taking on-line students or providing any tracking or online testing, etc. like an on-line school. We WILL be providing everything we do for free so it can be duplicated or applied in the home, traditional schooling environments, or to set up a community-based school like One Community’s.
Q: Will this education program be open to the public?
We are open source and free-sharing the complete program online as we continue to develop it – indefinitely. We will also seek licensing so we can offer the program as a local private school option and to open source share the process to help others interested in setting up private school options too.
Q: How does this program compare to traditional schooling models?
We are designing the program to objectively surpass all traditional schooling benchmarks. More importantly, and as this video says, “What really matters is what happens inside the learner’s head, and making a learner THINK seems best achieved in a social environment with other learners and a caring teacher.” This approach is specifically purposed to facilitate creating a replicable version of such an environment, and then excel at keeping learners AND teachers engaged and having fun within that environment. While this is just one small part of what makes this educational program and approach special, it is truly a foundation of how we will revolutionize education:
Here’s why this is important:
Q: Does this education program focus on the teachings of a specific religion?
The One Community spiritual philosophy is non-denominational and so is the education program.
"In order to change an existing paradigm you do not struggle to try and change the problematic model.
You create a new model and make the old one obsolete. That, in essence, is the higher service to which we are all being called."
~ Buckminster Fuller ~
