One Community is building a Highest Good society model through Highest Good education that is for all ages, applicable in any environment, adaptable to individual needs, far exceeds traditional education standards, and more fun for both the teachers and the students:
This last week the core team finished another 25% of the Signs Lesson Plan mindmap which you can see here. The lesson plan that goes with this mindmap teaches all subjects to all learning levels in the context of “signs and symbolism”:
We also researched and added another 40 resources to our free online education resources page and then we reorganized the page into different sections to make it easier to use. To our knowledge, we now have the most comprehensive online free education resource available:
Behind the scenes we also finished another 30% of the lesson plan design with the central theme of “Recreation” – bringing us to 50% total completion there.
We additionally finished the first 15 % of the lesson plan design with the central theme of “Energy”.
One Community is building a Highest Good society model through Highest Good food that is more diverse, more nutritious, locally grown and sustainable, and part of our open source botanical garden model to support and share bio-diversity:
This last week the core team finished our first complete breakout page from the large-scale gardening page. This page covers beans and the new format is designed to load faster and give us the space to add recipes, gardening tips, harvesting and canning tips, videos and more!
One Community is building a Highest Good society model through Highest Good housing that is artistic and beautiful, more affordable, more space efficient, lasts longer, DIY buildable, and constructed with healthy and sustainable materials:
This last week the core team finished another redesign for the upcoming crowdfunding campaign laundry, bathroom, and kitchen dome. This newest design moved everything so we can put the electrical and plumbing in the central wall and is very close to what we believe will be the final design:
We also finished the first 20% of the redesign of the complete energy rollout and phasing-in plan for all of One Community. This begins a total redesign of the Highest Good energy open source hub to share the specifics of setting up and phasing in off-grid energy infrastructure for 20 people all the way up to 400+ people:
Behind the scenes, we’re now also 95% done with the final electrical details needed for the dome home crowdfunding campaign do-it-yourself page we’ll build over the next few weeks.
We also finished the first 40% of the Murphy bed wall, changing area, and storage component image. This image is the parts overview image and introduction to the construction plans for this custom furniture design by Philip Gill (Interior and Furniture Designer and Owner of Philip Gill Design) for the complete earthbag village domes:
Last but not least, working with Scott Howard (Sustainable Building Expert and owner of Earthen Hand Natural Building), we updated all the information and added all the beautiful pictures you see here for the open source plaster page. This page is a fantastic open source resource covering natural and traditional methods of weather proofing structures:
One Community is building a Highest Good society model through a Duplicable and Sustainable City Center that is LEED Platinum certified/Sustainable, can feed 200 people at a time, provide laundry for over 300 people, is beautiful, spacious, and saves resources, money, and space:
This week James Nance (Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager with P2S Engineering) finished version 3.0 of our exhaust and venting details that you can see here:
Karl Harris (Architect Drafter, Designer, and founder of Harris Design & Technology Services) also added stairs into the 2nd floor in north elevation, added the corridor, walls, and elevator stairs on the 3rd floor in the west elevation. Karl also finished his CAD updates with final 3rd floor wall fixes to increase available storage. Here you can see the updated north elevation on the left and the redesigned 3rd floor on the right:
One Community is building a Highest Good society model through a Highest Good society approach to living that is founded on fulfilled living, the study of meeting human needs, Community, and making a difference in the world:
This last week the core team updated, featured, and added the pie chart you see here to the Fulfilled Living page. This chart shows how the average person spends their life right now and the updates to the page explain how this relates to One Community and our approach to global transformation:
